Read With a Child Week

September 15-21, 2019

Read With a Child Week is recognized annually by The Children’s Reading Foundation. It’s a reminder of how important it is for parents and caregivers to read with their children at least 20 minutes a day. Incorporating reading into a daily routine nurtures a young child’s early vocabulary, language, literacy and social-emotional skills.

Our READY! for Kindergarten program is bringing special guests to libraries in Ada and Canyon counties to recognize Read With a Child Week. All the events are free!
