Carol Imbrie earned her BS in Education from Wheelock College in Boston, Mass in 1976, and has worked in the area of Early Childhood Education for most of her life. In 2017, Carol retired from Head Start to start her own business, Inspiring Connections, in order to pursue her new passion for working with children and adults to strengthen the body/brain connection through Attachment, Sensory, and Motor experiences.

Join us for a special networking night on Friday, August 18th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Best Western Coeur d’Alene Inn. We will have delicious appetizers and a cash bar available. This event is free to current NAEYC members and $15 for non-members.

- Friday Excellence in Early Childhood Education Event - NIAEYC recognized five professionals in the field with awards and dinner. Kristin Stein was recognized for her work in early intervention, Marci Nelson was recognized for her work in Early Head Start for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Kim Kibby was recognized for her work as a Center Director, Ashley Crosby was recognized for her work as a Center Teacher, Samantha Tuskan was recognized for her work as a Community Educator and Carlyn Shaffer was recognized for her work as a Family Child Care Provider.
Saturday Conference Over 150 ECE professionals from Washington and Idaho attended the all-day conference that focused on Quality Environments in Early Childhood Education. Attendees heard presentations on self-care for the professional, social emotional development and best practices in feeding young children. Join us for our next educational event May 5-6 at the Coeur d’Alene Inn where the focus will be on the Conscious Discipline curriculum.
