Maureen Durning and Jane Zink of Idaho AEYC are the co- authors of the Strengthening Families Training Toolbox curriculum and have trained trainers in Idaho and nationwide. They also have presented workshops on a variety of topics related to the Strengthening Families framework:

• Sharing leadership: Partnering with parents

Bios

Maureen Durning is the IdahoSTARS Strengthening Families Project Specialist and co-author of the Strengthening Families through Early Care and Education Training Toolbox. She has trained trainers nationally and is the coordinator of the Strengthening Families National Network of Toolbox Trainers and the IdahoSTARS Strengthening Families Specialization process, a broad, deep, and personal exploration of the Strengthening Families framework for child care providers . She has over 30 years of experience in parenting education, health promotion, and child abuse prevention. Maureen is a certified master trainer and instructor of trainers through Girl Scouts USA.

Jane Zink is the co-author of the Strengthening Families through Early Care and Education Training Toolbox curriculum. She has trained trainers in Idaho and nationally, and has conducted a variety of workshops and presentations about implementing Strengthening Families across systems and embedding Strengthening Families into Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement Systems. She coordinates the IdahoSTARS Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for child care facilities in Idaho. The Strengthening Families framework is embedded in Idaho's QRIS as one of eight quality standards essential to quality child care.
