An evening for leadership only is brought to you by Treasure Valley AEYC, Friday April 12th, 6-8.30 pm. A child care center director is an advocate for the children, the staff and the center. Dealing with difficult behavior is often the number one concern of teachers of children of all ages. Directors have an important role in supporting and enabling teachers to develop skills and attitudes that will enable them to respond effectively when challenging behavior occurs so that the child is learning skills, not learning that they do not belong. When you recognize that a child's challenging behavior is rooted in biological and environmental factors and not a desire to ruin your day, it becomes possible for you to figure out what the child needs to learn in order to succeed. This workshop will help you understand why a child behaves in a particular way and make it much easier to meet those needs and effectively manage inappropriate behavior using evidence-based prevention strategies
To register, please fill out this Treasure Valley AEYC Conference Registration Form and mail to Dianna McAllister at Idaho AEYC.
